Edinburgh Family Medical Centre

Usually don’t mind my interactions with the doctors here (though the standard could be better now that it is no longer bulk billed).However, I recently got charged for a long consult ($120) despite half of that consult being spent with the clinical labs at the back of the practice. And now clinical labs has charged me their own bill… Why? Well I wasn’t informed that my blood test would cost me $90… it was optional not mandatory for my university exchange and so I wouldn’t have followed through with getting the test had I known. This happened after I had mentioned that money was tight at the moment too! I could have saved $210 by seeing my University doctor instead!Receptionist also seriously needs better customer service skills and trainingAfter this interaction, I plan on moving to another practice.

I know Dr Sanjay for many years now. He is our family GP. He is very gentle and thorough in his approach. He patiently listens the complains and looks after his patients well. I certainly recommend him.

Contacted medical centre at 9.30am to book phone apt & explained I had covid & my symptoms were quite bad & needed medical advice. I asked the receptionist if she could check if they could bulk bill & advised she will get back to me. I contacted KMC again after 4pm. Not even a courtesy call to say either way if they would bulk bill or not. The receptionist had no people skills or bed side manner, terrible attitude.Some good doctors but receptionist needs training.

I'm very satisfied with the attention received from the health professionals in the service. They are extremely supportive and empathic.Thank you to all of them for the incredible support I received during my recovery.

Highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for very caring, thorough and knowledgeable GP’s. Both Dr Kavita and Dr Sanjay have cared and provided treatment for myself and my children for many years now. We have moved away from the immediate local area and travel further now to continue to attend this practice, as this is where we have always received the best possible care. The staff have always been kind, friendly and professional. We couldn’t ask for better family GP’s.

My review is solely for Dr Sanjay Kanodia.Dr Sanjay Kanodia has been mine and my family's GP for many years. Not only is he kind, but he's also quite spot on with his diagnosis and appreciates my involvement in mine and my children's health care. He listens to my concerns and is always reassuring. He is reliable and will not forget to call if you have a phone consult and always remembers to send through any request forms and referrals.On the business side of things, I feel comfortable discussing any issues regarding any other health care professionals in the practice and he is always willing to better his medical centres by listening to honest feedback. He is a very hard worker; I appreciate his work ethic, his time and his service.

Highly qualified and professional service. The best thing about this centre is the waiting time is minimal. All doctors are quick and empathetic. My family has a wonderful experience with the staff at Edinburgh medical centre.

Dr Sanjay & Dr Kavita, Edinburgh team are just excellent and intelligent professional. I have been seeing Dr Sanjay since 7 years and they are always happy to help whether it be in person or over the phone consult. Appointments are always on time and reception staff is always helpful.
